Hi, my name is Jessica. I love helping moms and babies have an enjoyable nursing relationship. I have worked for the Indiana WIC (Women, Infant, Children) Program for the last 15 years. I started working for WIC as a nutritionist, helping families make healthier choices for feeding their children. Over time, I began to learn more about lactation and how to support families on their breastfeeding journey. I became an IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) in 2011.
I truly feel my own experiences with pregnancy and nursing make me a better lactation consultant.

I struggled with infertility and was diagnosed with PCOS. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome may bring some breastfeeding challenges. I love assisting families, especially other PCOS mommas with their breastfeeding journeys.

I went back to work full time after having children. Therefore, I am very familiar with the challenges of pumping while returning to work. I never felt like I was pumping enough milk while at work! I pumped “just enough” but not lots of extra, to meet my one year goal. I can help you with specific strategies to increase your milk supply and/or to supplement if necessary.

My biggest breastfeeding challenge was having a baby with tongue and lip ties. To be honest, I didn’t know very much about tongue or lip ties before, but having a tied baby made me seek out the information needed to make informed decisions regarding my baby and my breastfeeding journey. Learning from some amazing providers helped me get the assistance I needed. I love passing on that knowledge to other families! Let me help you navigate the struggle of restricted tethered oral tissues (also known as TOTS) with compassion and skill.
Working as a lactation consultant is my passion. For some families nursing comes very easily, but for others it can be a journey with many ups and downs. There is nothing in this world, quite like the nursing relationship. I love coming along side families to help teach and encourage parents. I would love to help you meet your specific goals!
