I began my nursing career in the infant unit at Riley’s Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis and quickly realized I had a passion to work with moms through their childbirth experience. In 2006, I brought my skillset to a women's hospital in Indianapolis and started what is now an almost 20-year career as a labor/delivery nurse.
Once I started to have a family of my own, my husband and I returned to our hometown area in Marshall County to raise our children near family.
In 2012, I started work in a rural hospital and broadened my nursing career to include postpartum care in a more family centered atmosphere.
I became a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) in 2017 and have loved connecting with families and the rewarding work of helping moms start their breastfeeding journey!
I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2023. I am excited to broaden my career to private practice to continue to help families meet their breastfeeding goals.
While not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, three children, family, and Jesus.
I look forward to working with Birth & Lactation Connection, serving families in Marshall, Starke and Fulton Counties, Indiana.
