Ashley Bontrager

Hello, my name is Ashley Bontrager. I am a Registered Nurse and an IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant).  After having my first child in 2007, I was called into nursing thanks to the amazing nurses that took care of me during and after my birth. I started working in the hospital as a nurse’s aide while I went through school. While I was in school, we joyfully added two more children to our family. I started working as an RN in 2014 on a mother/baby unit.

Shortly after working on the mother-baby unit, we added in baby #4. In 2018, I started working as a Lactation Consultant in the hospital. I have always been interested in lactation, but after working on the mother-baby unit, I found that I spent extra time helping moms nurse and I truly had a passion for it. After having four children of my own, I know the difficulties firsthand that come with breastfeeding and I love being able to support mothers through their breastfeeding journey. There is nothing better for me than assisting a mother with nursing and just seeing that amazing bond between mother and baby. There is nothing quite like it and I would love to assist you in any way I can.

In my spare time, I love being with my family. My husband and I have four amazing kids. Braxton, Brady, Charlotte, and Camille have always been my motivation for getting through school and chasing my dreams. My family has always been my biggest cheerleaders and I couldn’t do all these things without them. We love spending time together and are always up for anything. In my own personal time, I love to run. I have lost count of how many races I have actually done at this point. It is my favorite thing to do for me. So enough about me. Now I cannot wait to learn more about YOU!
